Where do you start??

Its always good to have a plan. Rileys philosophy is to avoid over exertion during any day whilst packing in as much rest and relaxation as possible.

To this end, our very own Riley has compiled a list of Lunchtime stops. There is a complete list of all Rileys favourites kept in the villa ranging from trattorias to the most sophisticated Michelin starred restaurants. Using this list will allow for a leisurely breakfast followed by a maximum of 1 hours driving before arriving at the designated village or beauty spot. You will have plenty of time for sightseeing before settling down to the serious business of choosing from the wonderful variety of courses available from todays' menu.

In the heart of the medieval quarters of Lucca, in front of one of the most known gateways to Piazza Anfiteatro,the square which was once the site of a Roman amphitheatre, since 1860 Osteria Baralla has been welcoming its guests in the fifteenth-century Buonvisi palace.
The owners, Lucia and Marco Brotini, manage the restaurant with care and professionalism, not only do they themselves select the menu but they make a point of personally welcoming and looking after their guests.
Come along to find a rich and varied menu, where all dishes are prepared with the most select ingredients only, an experience to taste in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The traditional dishes and exclusive recipes of Osteria Baralla are matched with a wide selection of wines and delicious homemade desserts.

The modern and pleasant Lido di Camaiore which is the beach resort of the histori town of Camaiore. It is located in a delightful, calm and pleasant area by the sea, it has an extension of many kilometrss, between Viareggio and Marina di Pietrasanta.
There are many restaurants to choose from but our favourite is the Ariston Beach Club. Situated overlooking the sea, the beach club is extremely popular with locals as well as tourists.
Fantastic fish dishes with the main ingredients just plucked from from the sea. A well rounded menu to suit all tastes including pasta, pizza, soups and local specialties all served in a lively environment.
